Following the complete and careful removal of a ruptured tubal ectopic or abdominal pregnancy and any surrounding structures that have been destroyed, the remaining structures may be fragmented and tattered. Hemostasis needs to be meticulously established throughout the procedure, so that there is no significant bleeding.
